Cosmetology- Massage therapy- business?

Posted by admin on Jan 12, 2009

I am in high school and I want to know what I should do for a job. I am almost in all honors classes, but I am stuck on what I should and shouldn’t do. I sort of want to do a cosmetology/massage therapy business thing, but I don’t know how long I would have to work, what classes to take and especially how much money I would make. I really want to be an at home mom too, but before that… or even if it didn’t take too long…
Jono- that is what I WANT to do… but I don't really know how much I would make or what I should take for classes and stuff

I make $35 to $50 an hour working for a Chiropractor. If this is what you really want, do it. Don’t listen to negative people.

any ideas how creatively advertise massage therapy business?

Posted by admin on Jan 10, 2009

Since you are in the SEO Answers section I will give you an SEO perspective:

Optimise your website, how do you do this? Search keyphrases that you want to target, insert each keyphrase into your Title tag each on a different page. On each individual page insert the keyphrase which you inserted into the title tag into the content, trying to achieve optimum keyword density. All pics should have alt tags also similar/same as the title tag on that particular page (these suggestions are the basics).

Once optimisation is completed then begin searching the net for quality links. Look for websites that relate to yours but are not direct competition. Maybe approach companies whose products you use, ask them to link to you and you'll reciprocate with a link back to their website.

Being creative with SEO means getting creative with targeted keyphrases, ensure that you have an analytics software program for your website, Google Analytics is definitely the best by far. Once you can track which keyphrases are resulting in sales and which aren't you can apply different keyphrases. Have fun with it, practice makes perfect!

does anyone have suggestions for a name for my massage therapy business?

Posted by admin on Jan 8, 2009

i want something unique but professional.

If you're going to be a sole proprietor, I'd suggest not getting too cute or clever. I think the best name is your name. It's your business. You will succeed or fail on the reputation you establish. You want people to know your name. So use your name – "Smith Massage and Bodywork", or "Massage by Jones."

If you try for something clever, you risk fading into the crowd. Good luck on unique. There are only so many variations of "Healing Hands", or "Water Over Stone". If you want unique, use your name. In business, your good name is the most important asset you have.

Good luck!

I am doing full body and chair massages part time, and I am self employed. I was using just "Massage Therapy On The Move" but now want something else, something cute and creative. Please Help.

Head 2 toe That would catch my eye and shows the point that you do full body massages x
